1. Our Approach to Privacy

Palettra is a Mac app for refining and exporting scientific figures. It is designed to run completely offline. We have built it so that your work never needs to leave your device, and we have no servers that receive your content.

Because of this, we do not collect any personal information from you through the app.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Palettra does not collect, transmit, or store: your figures, images, or any files you import or export; your name, email address, or account information (the app has no account system); usage analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or device identifiers; or location data.

3. Your Content Stays on Your Device

The images and charts you open in Palettra are read from your local files. All processing — applying palettes, styles, visual enhancements, and rendering the export — happens locally on your Mac.

When you export a figure, you decide the file format and where it is saved. The exported file is written directly to the location you choose. At no point is your content uploaded to us or to any third party.

4. Payments

If you purchase a subscription or a lifetime license, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or process your payment details. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

5. Children’s Privacy

Palettra is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

If the app’s behavior ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
